Bkk Day 2

Didn't manage to wake up early again. It was early noon by the time we got ready and get out of the hotel. Places hunted for the day; Chinatown, Union Mall and Pratunam night market. Our mandatory #OOTD shot.

Took Tuktuk to Chinatown and randomly settled for this restaurant. Wanted to have those road sidestall because it looked cheap and authentic but oh well the blistering hot sun doesn't give us a choice. This restaurant (omg why didn't I take a picture of the exterior or the name of it!!) served good food too! We walked in not knowing that it was a A-la Cart steamboat b'cus all we know was that this is a restaurant and it shouts AIR-CON! & I presume the name of it is Texas judging from the cups and plates. Food was above average and we both walked out with happy and filled tummy.

The boy researching on how to go to the Chinatown market because I told him the previous time I was here with the girls, we couldn't locate it. & I've heard about Chinatown selling great bags and accessories.Wouldn't want to give it a miss this time round! Thank god my navigator was bright enough to find it! Reckon it can't be that hard with google map around huh.

Chinatown market only opens till late afternoon/ early evening if i'm not wrong. Worth a visit but I doubt I would go back there for the shopping b'cuz its kinda cramp and hetic there. Prefer Chinatown at night as it is famous for its cheap seafood (only night) and bird nest. Didn't get to drink the bird nest this time round because we just forgot to. Hahaha only realized it on our way back.

Took Tuktuk back to our hotel to put our food down before heading to Union Mall. Most of our transports are taken via Tuktuk. Tuktuk > cab anytime. Totally love the thrill of taking a Tuktuk especially if we meet young drivers as they tend to be more... reckless.

Geez Union Mall was quite disappointing to me this time round as compared to the previous time I shopped with Kelene. I remembered us bagging a whole loads of stuff back! Hence I insisted that we MUST pay a visit to this mall. Bought only 2 apparels from there but I love them so no complain. I even wore it out on the last night. Hehe.

Bought my papaya salad (again).

We ordered room services and boy the food was yummy. Worth every penny and we savored every single dish down. Lastly, loots of the day!

Bkk Day 1

Heh, guess what? My memory has decided to die on me & I can't exactly remember the full details. Prolly just 60%? Places hunted for the day; Pratunam Market, conquered all three malls of Platinum and walked around the night market near our hotel (Baiyoke Sky) which I assume is Pratunam night market. #OOTD of the day! I usually tuck in my tee if I'm wearing HW shorts but I forgot to bring my belt along so I couldn't be bothered much.

The to-die-for-must-eat-''carrot cake'' when you're there. The only regret is that we only had it once!

Shared a set of A&W cus we were not that hungry and mainly needed a rest. Oh and to call DBS to activate the overseas withdrawal. Kinda underestimated our budget! NTS: Bring more cash the next time cox overseas withdrawal rate suxx big time. Btw, the caller was from Joy lol.

Had this papaya salad (another to die for) almost everyday. I trust this is the MAIN reason why I wna go Bkk. Papaya salad > anything else! It's so delectable I can't even.. Keith doesn't like it though. But its all good cox I get to devour the entire bowl :''D so so good.

Had this 'pock' almost every day too. Think of the crispy fats, the juices, the crunchiness and the bbq taste omg I need one now.

Explored around Baiyoke Sky.

Headed up to the revolver roof top. It is an open concept revolving roof top and goes at a fairly slow speed rotating 360 degrees. You could see all the skyline of Bkk because you're standing 84 floors above ground! Naturally, high above the group along with the rotating rooftop, the wind was so strong that it almost blew us away if not for the fences. Haha. Look at my hair all over the place and my camera strap hitting my face.

Looking so silly here!

If I were a boy~

Even just for a day~

I'll make sure all the girls fall for me cox I'm gonna be the man of every girl's dream. BWHAHAHAH #jzkiddingpls

Do I look like a mini Keith now? I don't know what got to me that day but Keith was taken aback when he saw me. I'm sure he did. Hahaha and the night just ended off with laughter and more laughter.

Me '' Who are you?! Poser!! ''
Him '' Don't try to imitate me..................-__-''

I may be wear a oversize tee, shorts and exceeding bigger shoes, I look sorta bigger than him in this picture! HAHAHA omg somebody save me.. I'm getting weird. Y'know.. still.. I think I could pull off as a boy. No? HAHAHA k kill me now.

Loots of the day. Spot the cool Instagram pouch! And the 'Avoid Hangover, Stay Drunk' tee. Not all are ours we just merely displayed it all ^^ Most of them were from Platinum Mall.

Till then.

Bkk Day 0

Woohoo I'm gonna get down to blogging on my my Bkk trip two weeks back. It's gonna be my first travel post and definitely something worth referring back to in the coming years. Looking back at my archives is one way of remembering the past. How nostalgic. Being such a forgetful person, its really time for me to pin down all happy memories here! :)

5th-9th May.
By the time we landed in Bkk, it was already at night. Therefore I would consider this a 4D4N trip instead of a 5D4N one. It was my first time catching the sunset on the plane. Yep, the view was breathtaking. Kept snapping the view and had to do it discreetly cause it was near to landing time and we have to keep all electronic devices yada yada. My camera had to fail me causing all pictures taken on plane to be disrupted. Bottom two pictures are taken from my iPhone 4.

Thanks to the boy, had a chance to stay in Baiyoke Sky - the tallest building in Bangkok. :) We booked Citin Pratunam initially but he changed it to Baiyoke. Wholly worth. :')

Again, first time taking TukTuk with Keith! We went to Siam Square for the night market. Didn't shop around cause we were famished. We hastily got our Thai sim-card there too. Had dinner at some random seafood stall. Cheap, not bad and no pictures of it hehe too hungry. Also, baby was telling me that taking photo of food is sign on mental illness. Lol. Shopped around at Big C (like our Ntuc) and walked back to our hotel. Didn't know that it's within walking distance! It seemed quite far when I was there last year with the girls.

Baby holding a coconut hehe
